The value of information for conservation planning under sea level rise:

If you were given the task of locating a reserve system to preserve coastal biodiversity, how much of your limited budget would you devote to acquiring high-quality data? Of course, collecting and using high-quality data is more expensive than using rougher, lowquality data. And the money you save in this step, which might be considerable, could be put towards acquiring more land so it’s far from being an academic question.
