Decision Point is a free magazine series on conservation decision science, published 2008 – 2018.
Our authors were conservation biologists and researchers from around Australia, sharing their best research findings and ideas.
The Decision Point magazine began in 2007 as an informal newsletter. The first formal issue was published in February 2008 and, from there, Decision Point grew into a widely-read magazine with over 6000 subscribers worldwide by the end of publication in December 2018. Our stories have informed researchers, practitioners and policy makers; forged new collaborations; and strengthened our local and international network. When it comes to environmental decision science, we believe there’s no other magazine like Decision Point!
Decision Point was the free bi-monthly magazine of the Centre of Excellence for Environmental Decisions (CEED), which was funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Research Council Centres of Excellence funding scheme 1 July 2011 – 31 May 2018.
CEED was a partnership between Australian and international universities and research organisations. The Centre’s aim was to be the world’s leading research centre for solving environmental management problems and for evaluating the outcomes of actions. More info: www.ceed.edu.au .
Whilst Decision Point’s production is primarily funded through CEED, the funding of the research presented in Decision Point, like most research, comes from multiple sources and is identified in the original papers on which the stories are based (references are provided in each story).
